I'm not even so sure why I like this film, but I do so I watched it again.
The colour, the house, the ocean, people wining....I like it.

ついでにもう一本、ウッディ・アレン作品。
ちょっとモンティ・パイソンっぽくて（特に冒頭のシーン）結構笑えます。

記念すべき2007年の100本目は何を見ようかな〜と
漠然と考えていたのですが、気づいたら100本越えてて、これがその100本目に．．．ちょっと不覚。

2005年のリメイクの方がまだ面白かった

【ディス・イズ・ボサノバ】
想像以上に”歴史”を語っている映画でしたが、ポルトガル語とボサノバを２時間きっちり満喫できます。

こういう展開だとは！意外で驚きました。
でもこれって結局誰が何を正直に話しているか、嘘をついているのか分らなくなって来て、ハラハラが薄れてしまうんだよなぁ。そこんとこなんとかして。
The Postman Always Rings Twice (1946)
With this kind of story, you would lose your interest when everyone seems to start telling lies as you just don't believe anything they say. I liked it, but I'm not sure about that ending... Is it the same as in the novel?

【激突！】
バニシング・ポイントに続いて車モノです。
こういうシンプルな傑作は最近ない。無駄がないし、それが恐怖を煽る。

映画を撮る機会に恵まれず、仕方ないがテレビでもいいか、やろう、と当時20歳そこそこのスピルバーグが引き受けたのがこのテレビ映画で、条件は10日で撮ること。絶対に無理だと思ってもとにかく工夫して、全てロケで撮影したそう。最終的には13日かかったらしいが、とにかくほぼ全編車のシーンなのに、合成（窓の外の景色を埋め込む）でフェイクな物は作りたくなかったと監督はインタビューで言っていた。

主人公の情けない面もよかったな。とにかく彼に同情してしまいます。
映画館で見たかったなぁ。

Duel
I'm apparently into "car films" lately.
What a simple, thrilling masterpiece it is!!
And it's shot in 13 days!!
I love this psychological thriller very much.

【今宵、フィッツジェラルド劇場で】
去年１１月に亡くなったアルトマン監督の遺作です。
ナッシュビルの悪夢がよみがえりそうだったけど、なんとか乗り越えました。最近また見た『悪魔を着たプラダ』のメリル・ストリープを考えると、この映画で全く違う役なので感心しました。いやーまさにカメレオン。リンジー・ローハンも可愛かった。ウッディ・ハレルソンとジョン・C・ライリーのカウボーイコンビも笑えた～！そしてケヴィン･クラインは一人モンティパイソンみたいだった。
（余談）久しぶりに趣のある邦題がきましたね！
A Prairie Home Companion
Robert Altman's last film.
It reminded me of Nashville nightmare but I enjoyed it much better. I recently watched The Devil Wears Prada again (I just love watching Meryl Streep and Emily Blunt although the story sucks a lot) so I am so amazed and impressed by Meryl Streep how well she can play different characters. I enjoyed the "bad jokes" of Dusty and Lefty (by Woody Harrelson and John C. Reily).

【お熱いのがお好き】
ストーリー云々より、ジャック・レモンとトニー･カーティスの女装コンビが可笑しかった。初マリリン･モンローでしたが、彼女スゴクキュートでセクシーでした～。お尻デカ過ぎっ！
ちょっとドタバタ劇が長くて、途中飽きてしまったのは否めません。
Some Like It Hot
To me, this is to watch Jack Lemmon and Tony Curtis, and I didn't really enjoy the rest of the elements as much.

【キャスティング・ディレクター】
ショーン・ペンがとにかく喋り捲るという映画。邦題のキャスティング・ディレクターというは彼の職業だが、それもストーリーには関係ない。決して気分のいい映画ではないけど、ストーリー展開から役者一人一人に目を向けてみると、彼らの熱演振りが堪能できて面白い映画でした。人を食ったようなケビン・スペイシーが最高。

I just wanted to see Kevin Spacey...
But once I gave up on the story and focused on each actor, I could enjoy it.

この手のコメディーは、短いコントを繋いでいるだけのようで、２時間見ているのは辛い。

【バレエ・カンパニー】映画館で見逃したアルトマン作品。
最初は退屈しちゃうかと思ったけど最終的にスゴく好みの作品でした。クラシックバレエはあまり好きじゃないけど、モダン･バレエは見ていて面白いし、何よりダンサーの体つきにほれぼれします。ネーブ・キャンベルかわいいなぁ。
The Company
I thought I would get bored that I didn't and enjoyed this beautiful film so much. There are just enough lines and a lot of dancing scenes.
Oh、and my hero Malcolm McDowell...

【オール・アバウト・マイ・マザー】
見るのは２回目ですが、１回目と全く同じ感想を持ちました。いいんだけど話の展開がとっても淡白な気がします．．．。俳優さん達がいいので見ていて安心なのですが、もしそれがなかったらもうちょっとストーリーを掘り下げて欲しい感じがします。
Todo sobre mi madre
This was my second time to see this film and my impression is exactly the same as before: I like the story and characters (performances), but how it's told is a bit too quick, I feel. At least Manuela's story could have been deepened.

【スケッチ・オブ・フランク・ゲーリー】
フランク・ゲーリーという建築家のドキュメンタリーですが、あまりにあっさりアイデアを形にしている感じが見ていて面白い。
Sketches of Frank GehryI had not heard of this American architect. He seems like he is enjoying designing houses and buildings very much. It is memorable when he says, "I may only be able to come here a few more times in my life." as he visits one of his work in Germany.

もうタランティーノ果汁200％！！という感じですねー好きです。ゾーイ・ベル格好良すぎっ。私もバニシング・ポイントやりたい！！
Death Proof
I LOVE IT, I LOVE IT, I LOVE IT !!! I want to do the "vanishing point", too !!
There are many "Tarantino elements" and I had to laugh. Its story is weak, especially comparing with his other films (Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction, Kill Bill) but it's definitely the most entertaining one!

とにかく走る。それだけ。かっこいい。
Vanishing Point
All you get is a car moving so fast, but I absolutely love it. I never get bored with this film.


【風の谷のナウシカ】
もしかしたらきちんと見るのは初めてかもしれない．．．すごくよかった。これは子供が見て面白いのかなぁ？想像以上に”ナウシカ”フォーカスなストーリーで驚いた。
Kaze no Tani no Naushika
I don't even remember when I saw this film last and it was probably my second time. I was quite impressed with the story and its tension. I find it quite dark (at least more than I remembered) and I'm not sure if children can enjoy it as much.
I'm looking forward reading the catoon.

アルモドバル監督の女性讃歌３部作のうちの２作目です。
一番好きな作品でした。
特に前半がものすごく芸術的でストーリーを追うと同時に
”見る”ことのできる映画でとても気に入りました。

Talk to Her
I love this one the most among his trilogy for women.
The entire film is a piece of art, especially the first half.

【 生きる 】ーIkiru
映画館で寝てしまったのが悔しくて、やはりもう一度見る事に。
本当に志村喬は素晴らしい。これに尽きます。
彼はこの役に相当入れ込んでいたらしく、撮影を終え家に帰っても猫背のまま、ご飯も食べなかったそう。そんな旦那さんの姿を見ていた奥さんは、映画を見終わって涙を流したそうです。
I re-visited this film because I couldn't forgive myself for having falling asleep. Oh, what a fantastic actor Shimura Takashi is!!
During the shooting, he was so into this role and stayed in the character: he came home looking down all the time, didn't eat much. After having seen him like that, his wife cried when she saw the film.

【 小説家を見つけたら 】ーFinding Forrester
ガス・ヴァン・サントの作品で、前から見たかった作品。
いろいろ突っ込みどころはあったけど、話の内容がとても好きでした。終わり方もグッド。
I finally watched this Gus Van Sant film.
There are several things I want to complain/ask for explanation, but I liked the story and how it's told.

【 ファイナル・デッドコースター 】ーFinal Destination 3
何故だかよくわからないけどこのシリーズ好きなんです。
ただただ高校生が一人ずつ残酷に殺されて行くだけの映画なんですが。CGってすごいね．．．
I don't really know why I like the series.
You almost just watch high school students get killed one by one that's all...
What CG can do is just amazing.

【 ボルベール＜帰郷＞ 】ーVolver aka To Return
ペネロペはスペイン映画がいいじゃないか。
監督の唯一の不満は、この手の女性はたいていお尻が大きいのだが、ペネロペはあまりにスタイルが良過ぎること、だって。確かに。映画の雰囲気は好きですが、ストーリー的にはオール・アバウト・マイ・マザーの方が好きだったな。
今度トーク・トゥ・ハーを見てみます。
Penélope Cruz should always be in Spanish-speaking films. She's really good.
I like the colours and atmosphere but prefer All About My Mother. I'll try to watch Talk To Her soon.


【 一番美しく 】ーIchiban Utsukushiku: Most Beautifully
黒澤明映画、初期の作品です。珍しく女性が主人公。
ここまでクサイ話だったとは驚き。でも同時に清々しくもあり、なかなかよかった。
でもやっぱり三船敏郎が居ないとやっぱり寂しいかな。志村喬は少し出ていますが、どうしてこう彼はこんな少しの出番の役でもしっかり伝わってくるんだろう？すごい。
One of the Kurosawa's early films and one of the few of his films that has a female main character (actually most of the characters are female). I found the story a bit too cheesy but I don't hate it at all. Hm...still, I miss Mifune Toshiro in Kurosawa films... Shimura Takashi plays a rather small part in this film but I can tell about the character from his performance. He is too good.

【 グッドナイト＆グッドラック 】ーGood Night, and Good Luck
セクシー・ジョージの監督作品。すごくシンプル且つシャープに仕上がっていてカッコいい映画でした。
久々のロバート・ダウニーJr.もかっこ良かった。ジョージも最後までかっこ良かった。でもやっぱりこの映画は主演のデヴィッド・ストラザーン。押さえた演技が光ってます。
Sexy Goerge's Academy nominated film. Very simple but sharp. I like the style, too, with some Jazz songs.

よかったですねー
とても文学的な感じが出ていたように思います。
1939年の作品 も是非見てみたい。
近いうちに原作を読もうと思います。

”原作”つながりでは、ナバコフのロリータの原作がスゴくいいと友人に勧められたのでこちらも近いうちに。

Of Mice and Men (1997)
I have tried to read the book many times but I found it difficult so I finally decided to see the film. I wish I could watch the original first, though.

I liked it but I'm sure the book would be much better.
Hope I'll be able to read it soon.

Speaking of a book, my friend recommended Nabokov's Lolita to me the other day. I've seen both of the films; Kubrick's and the newer one with Jeremy Irons.
This book is on my list, too.

大大大好きな M*A*S*H をスクリーンで見ました！
ドナルド・サザーランドが出てくる最初のシーンはあまりに嬉しくて
なんだか泣きそうでした。
とにかく楽しくて、かっこ良くて、この映画のすべてが好きです。

そしてテーマ曲、Suicide is Painless！
アルトマン監督の当時１４歳の息子さんが歌詞を書き、彼がこの歌で得た収入は父親が映画から得た収入より多かったとか。
（カバーバージョンもたくさんあり、一つはManic Street Preachers。）

一方、週末に見た Nashville は全く分らず。うーむ．．．。

I had a chance to see two of Robert Altman's films in the cinema.

One is Nashville and I have no idea what is going on in this film.
What's good about it??

The other is M*A*S*H which I love so much. I was so excited to finally see it on screen ! I almost cried when the film started.
It's fun and cool, and I love everything about this film.

そしてもう一人の主役が志村喬。
ずっと自分の中の黒澤映画トップ１０を考えていますが、これは確実に上位３位に入ります。
初共演でどうしてこんなにしっくりくるのか。
もう三船･志村ファンにはたまらない１本です。

He and Shimura Takashi play the main characters.
